Below are instructional material that will be used in this course. These materials correspond with lesson topics that will be covered throughout the course on personal financial literacy. By reviewing the material at home, students will be well prepared to engage in classroom activities and discussions. Resources that students will require access to at home in order to complete lessons and associated activities include: Computer (PC or Laptop), Internet Access, Adobe Acrobat PDF, PowerPoint, Flash Media (Adobe). Lesson Overview: In this lesson, students will gain an overview about money, what it is used for in society, how the value of money impacts our decision making, and a brief introduction on the role that banks play in the circulation of money.
